Brian De Palma Omicidio a luci rosse

Brian De Palma changed my life. Cinematically speaking, of course. Great review.

There are some good melodic ideas, but the excessive length of certain tracks, in my opinion, makes them repetitive and boring (I’m mainly referring to Rather Be and I See Houses). Has anyone noticed that halfway through the piece, Columbo starts to resemble Love Is Noise? Grant, for once, we totally disagree: I found Noise Epic to be the worst track on the album :) However, I have no objections to the review...

@Panthera: I thank you from the bottom of my heart :)
Charlotte Gainsbourg 5:55

I only save 5:55 (which, if it hadn't been written by the Air, would have actually been a carbon copy) and The Song That We Sing. 2.5 rounded up to 3 because, after all, it has its charms (if it were a guy, there’s no way I would round it up).

Well done, beyond your personal evaluations of the individual tracks, which could be different for anyone, you have been quite objective, without creating false, and who knows how overly exciting, expectations for those who are unfamiliar with them. They, in the vein of "Commercial Radio Rock," earn three and a half stars with ease. I believe that Everything is nonetheless the best track on the album, and due to the special meaning it has for me, I should probably decontextualize it from the rest of the record, but in the overall evaluation, I can't "rate it" more than it deserves because, as a whole, it balances out some tracks that didn't particularly excite me.

* ----"but I do not share all this severity of judgment, while remaining faithful to the debaserian line that categorically criticizes the Guns."---- I beg your pardon, this passage requires no small hermeneutic effort: I was alluding to you, who, while criticizing the Guns, remains faithful to the line adopted by the majority of users on this site. Thank you!

Music cassette bought in 1999, on sale for 7900 lire... different times. Back then I was infatuated, I would have given it a 5 with my eyes closed, even just for the acoustic part. Today the rating is much lower, but I don’t share all this harshness of judgment, while remaining faithful to the debaserian line that categorically slams the Guns. I have definitely moved on from the Guns, and I haven’t listened to Appetite For Destruction in ages (but if they plugged a jack and speakers into my brain, I could play it note for note) but I don’t disown them to the point of considering their entire discography as steaming shit. I believe that many today detest G’n’R for what they have become (or rather for what Axl has become), but in my opinion, the pathetic present of the character cannot retroactively affect his "merits." Then again, there are those who never digested them, even when they were 15 back in '87, and that’s another story... PS: for those who comment... Alice In Chains are untouchable, just to be clear... :)

"Maybe because J resembles me a lot and that may not be a good thing. In fact, it definitely isn't." You said it, as ugly as it is... -------- "I only know that the cold penetrated my veins and didn't leave anymore." Where were you on August 18 to feel that cold? On K2? :) Come on, I'm just joking. Actually, you've piqued my curiosity; I think I will listen to it!

I hope Trent's flailing isn't like that, definitely pathetic, of Mick Jagger... something tells me no, and I trust your motor analysis anyway :) PS: It seems to me that I'm not the only one who found The Slip a bit... a bit of a drag! There, I've said it!
