Fortunately, he practices in America (then they talk about brain drain abroad) and writes in English. We have to rely on the translations of some devoted admirer.

Did you know that Pere Ubu filed a complaint? :)

@Larrok: there’s no need to compile a list of "critics"; I simply refuse to consider someone like Scaruffi, who dismisses hundreds of records in two lines while at the same time passing himself off as the custodian of all human knowledge, a reliable critic. Is it possible that there isn't a field of knowledge Scaruffi hasn't successfully explored? Even Plato and Aristotle at some point had to surrender to the limits of human nature. He, on the other hand, seems to have around 60 degrees, the tough ones, he seems to have listened to 200,000 records, seen just as many films, and read just as many literary works. But has he ever had a lay?

The only song from this "nice little product" (to put it like Maionchi) that I enjoy listening to is the parody of "Novembre" dedicated to Pocho Lavezzi! Is there still someone who wastes time reading Scaruffi (and perhaps considers him a critic)? :)
Bruce Springsteen Working On A Dream

5 stars seems exaggerated to me. In my opinion, the title track is the worst song on the album.
Darren Aronofsky The Wrestler

3.5 rounded to 4. Despite the predictability of the story, following the lines of Rocky (particularly the underrated "Rocky Balboa"), Rourke's performance (curiously reminiscent of Charlize Theron in "Monster") and the staging of the characters' human miseries are quite believable. I frowned at the shaky shots that I believe are self-indulgent, but I appreciated the choice not to overly sensationalize the ending, which would surely have been portrayed in a more theatrical and dramatic manner in a big Hollywood production. In this, the film remains true to itself until the very end.

I mostly agree with you on the "key tracks." I prefer the title track to Unknown Caller. As for the rest, the album didn't particularly impress me; in fact, it even wore me out after a few listens. The single, then, is among the most embarrassing things U2 have released in recent years. 3 rounded.

The only prog group I never tire of. Sentimental is a gem.

"Absolutely essential work, just like the remaining 78 demos." No doubt :)
