Ancient Rites Rubicon

I liked the review... even Armageddon in '97 (if I'm not mistaken) released an album titled "Crossing the Rubicon"... it seems like this story really appeals to certain bands... well done!

Well... your ease in transitioning from Thrash Metal to Electronic Pop is incredible, Francè... you've almost made me want to listen to this CD... just because you wrote a review for it... no way... I can't... I CAAAAAAAN'T!!!!!!!

Fidia... I don't want to contradict you, but at the time of the official release, Easy wasn't there... and here's why: the album came out first in the States without the above-mentioned cover, and (as I mentioned in my previous post that no one read) it wasn't warmly received by the fans of the group because it strayed from the previous TRT in many ways (sound-approach-themes...)... moreover, the fact that it was the least "immediate" album by Faith didn't help in attracting new fans... it was therefore decided that for the European release and for the American reprints, the track Easy would be included (a commercial operation?!?)... the band even had to return to the studio to record it, called back by the production and the distribution heads... there’s a rumor that Jim Martin was already out of the band by the time of the recording of the song, and that Tray Spruance played on that track (but this could spark a long discussion, there are too many denials regarding this, etc...)... this is at least what I know, and I’m not saying it’s the truth, but a dear friend of mine who met FNM in person in 1989 got hold of the very expensive first American export edition (illegal) and Easy wasn’t there... personally, I don’t want to come off as a know-it-all and I’m not interested in whether what I know is true or not... the album is magnificent and I think I’ll go listen to it again... forgive me, Fidia, for the correction... with all due respect, I await denials to my, after all personal, theory... bye

perhaps the least digestible album by Faith... very bold and at the time it was a true flop due to its departure from the sound of the previous work... Easy was introduced as a bonus only later on to boost sales... I consider it the best work of the band alongside TRT...

I quote Dave for the compliments... for being the first, it’s not bad... I haven’t listened to the album but I don’t like the ā€œsecond eraā€ of the Camel... after Rain Dances they’ve never managed to win me over... lately I’ve listened to many of their works and maybe I’ll get this one too...

You're really in a Thrash period, huh... congratulations... I've actually listened to very little of them, so I don't really remember... good review, but I know you can do better, Francescobus... still, well done.
