Savatage Hall Of The Mountain King

a beautiful album that is also fundamental to understanding the evolution of Savatage in the subsequent albums (this is the beginning), as the good reviewer mentioned... from here on, I began to notice a certain underlying sadness in their compositions... who knows... maybe I’m doing too many drugs... anyway, our guys are one of the most underrated bands in the history of rock and metal... Criss R.I.P.

very nice album... made by tall and short... in typical Queen style... I liked the review... back then I devoured it... now I haven’t listened to it since "back then"...

for Fidia... my repeating the vote with every comment was only because I thought that was the rule... I'm new to DEBASER... but as you can see, I don’t do it anymore... I swear... with this, I'll also take my leave... greetings to everyone...

Okay... mm... I didn't mean to come off as offensive in any way... I'm sorry if it seemed that way... I didn't want to seem like a little professor judging the sinners of true metal, since I assure you that I listen to many genres or subgenres of music, from pop to black metal... I just tried to express my opinion on a review that, in my view, has some dark or inconsistent points... but it has always been just my singular opinion; I was trying to comment, not criticize... I believe that's what comments on reviews are for, to express opinions about the album or the proposed review... or am I wrong?? As for metal versus non-metal, simplicity or complexity, I think I've specified what my subjective point of view is... subjective because I always started my sentences with "personally"... it's my opinion, just as you have yours... but that doesn't mean I think mine is right... of course, and contrary to what I think, if something technically simple is not considered metal, there's always something more complicated... as I said, I tried not to be offensive but I have given and will continue to give opinions on albums and reviews! Otherwise, everyone would just agree with the reviewer and we could even eliminate the comments section... with this, I hope you won't consider me a pain in the ass...
Slayer Still Reigning - Reign in Blood live

Reign in Blood was the first metal album I ever listened to... it changed my life... honor and glory to Slayer for creating and influencing an entire music genre... then they kind of stagnated but certain MASTERPIECES never lose their shine...

here... I knew it... I didn't express myself well... mea culpa... I'll try again... so: I didn't mean to say that lyrics aren't important; on the contrary, much of the crap thrown at metal is caused by the dark-depress-satan-dirt-violent-fan tasy (which I don't understand) image and lyrics of bands like Manowar... I just believe that a certain type of music cannot be considered metal simply because it has specific technical-instrumental or lyrical characteristics that define the rules to be followed and identify that music as METAL... I think metal is a way of conceiving music and transmitting sensations (and not necessarily emotions)... I'm convinced that many non-metal bands have a metal attitude... who mentioned Depeche Mode???? With this, I hope I've explained myself better... greetings to Fidia and Fabbiu...

N°3... "it feels like listening to 3 bands in one"... But HOW??? Didn't you just say a moment ago that they risked becoming a caricature of themselves, I assume because of their repetitiveness, and now you consider them so varied that they seem like 3 bands in one??? I don’t understand... for me, it feels a bit contradictory...
N°4... but did you really listen to the album??? Because someone who thinks Warlord is fantastic is like considering a spit on the wall as fantastic inside the LOUVRE... Warlord is perhaps the ugliest and most kitschy song by Manowar, and compared to the other tracks present, it’s hardly worth listening to... the only flaw... it shouldn’t have been there...
N°5... maybe you’d be better off listening to prog... reread point 2... songwriting doesn’t make metal... I hope I haven’t been offensive... I tried to criticize only some aspects of the review that didn’t seem clear to me... HAIL...

Now... let's analyze the points together...
N°1... okay, they may not have proposed anything innovative in their career... they might have been repetitive in the way they conceived music but... damn... it was 1982 and I believe not many were doing what they were doing... maybe, and I say maybe, they "helped to create a genre of metal called Epic"... don't you think?? And then in some cases, I believe that the lack of experimentation within an artistic career is to be praised compared to masked “experimentation” done just for the sake of commercializing and selling more... who mentioned Metallica, Megadeth, etc. etc...
N°2... a metal that is not yet metal???????? excuse me, but then what is it?? chamber music?? Personally, I have always considered metal music characterized not by certain "rules" or "crafted dictates" that, if proposed, indicate whether something is metal or not... I personally believe that the characteristic of metal music is the ATTITUDE expressed by a band and not whether their music has or does not have certain characteristics or specific details that identify it as such...

I would like to underline a few points on which I have many doubts:
1- "Manowar hardly ever propose anything innovative; they constantly risk becoming a caricature of themselves."
2- "Our band tries to write epic pieces where hyper-speed gives way to a metal that, all in all, is not yet metal."
3- "The result is quite disorganised; it feels like listening to three bands in one."
4- "Fantastic Warlord."
5- "Trivial songwriting"...
