Unfortunately, I am very critical when listening to and commenting on covers... everyone makes the cover they want, but certainly if it’s different, then it’s either better or worse than the original; if it’s identical, it’s terrible because it’s not personal... covers are just covers... pointless to compare them to the originals... they’re just tributes, nothing more... no cover will ever be better than the original because the original IS created for a specific reason by a certain artist who wants to convey something that cannot be the same as what the cover artist wants to convey while the cover IS copied-inspired... an exercise in technique and reverence... they shouldn’t even be commented on...
