Even though most (among the 4 cats who know them) consider the subsequent Future World the pinnacle of their discography, I personally have always preferred this one... however, I can't bring myself to give it 5 stars... let's say 4.4... ;p

From an interview with the Mountain King himself, if I remember correctly, to the question: "But won't Savatage make another album?", the good Jonh's answer was: "I can't release anything under the Savatage name since the contract signed for the lifetime of the Trans Siberian Orchestra stipulated the death of Savatage"... as for the rest... I don't know... I'm not familiar with the album...

Great review for an album I'm quite fond of and that unjustly hadn't been reviewed yet... but luckily there's the legendary Francescobus... Perfect as always... I've always had the feeling that the band never managed to produce "the masterpiece" (even knowing their more recent discography), but this will remain a static situation since they broke up just this year (if I'm not mistaken)... but now enough... Great review with the usual excellent use of links and metaphors... You're now an absolute guarantee... Congratulations... Pieces felt here and there but never in this form... The MA have never been among my favorites in the Death genre (even though I recognize their importance)... Maybe because I delved into them too late (my fault)... You are always perfect and at ease even in the Death realm... :-O

EHEH... Finally, something in the Medal realm where my ideas and Bartleboom's diverge... this makes me grin quite a bit (in a good way)... I must admit, though, that Vintage Whine (the only one I know of the two mentioned by Bartleboom) is truly a very well-executed work............................... .......... Until next time.

Get to work then Terry... Starting perhaps with the first two albums, which to this day remain (even though I haven't followed the band closely) the peak achieved by Walkyer and company... A very pleasant listen that deserves some recognition for shining a bit of light on these overlooked misunderstood ones...

IHIH... Good good good... I'm happy for your work revolution and I'm renewing the private messages :-)))... By the way, knowing that there will be new reviews from you very soon really piques my curiosity... I'll tell you that I'm also working on a couple of reviews and I hope they don't overlap with yours... Just to give you a hint, let's say that "I'm about to tell a very wicked story that in the end will only bring eternal devastation"... those who have ears to hear, let them hear, the rest all in the camper............................. ....................... (I know I'm terrible)

Beautiful review of an important but not essential album (according to me), not even for its time... Compared to the subsequent releases of the band, it truly loses its edge... you are always excellent, enjoyable, and perfect like a Spritz after some spicy chips... Congratulations.
