Hehe, I admit I’m a fan of their most "screwed up" album, "They're Only Chasing Safety"... I haven’t listened to this one very well except for "Writing On The Walls"...

I know, but it’s logical that after 15 years and in a totally different context the attitude isn’t the same anymore... I mean, I don’t think Green Day can complain about anything or protest against anything, with all the money they have (and one with money can improve the world on their own)... so no one questions the hypocrisy/ignorance of those who say W PUNK! W GREEN DAY! However, when it comes to the sounds, for me they are typical of modern Punk/Rock!

And then, since there are so many crying asses here complaining about the use of the term "Punk," here’s how I see a punk song: a few guitar chords, a steady beat, a raspy voice. Just to make things clear...

But you say senseless things, do you realize that...? Fidia, you say that if I had told you these things face to face, I wouldn't have gotten away with it. But violence has nothing to do with this. So what would you have done? Would you have sued me? Festwca, you say I'm wrong when I say I can't find a better definition than Punk/Rock... well, I swear I can't, but if you or anyone else has better ones, I'm all for it! And anyway, I agree that Wake Me Up, American Idiot, Holiday, and Boulevard (i.e., the singles that girls love so much) are definitely "bland" songs, but I would like to understand where the banality lies in songs like Jesus Of Suburbia and Homecoming, or even Give Me Novacaine... Anyway, Fidia, fortunately, I am a reasonable person, and someone who admits their mistakes, even the most serious ones, and I acknowledge that my first comment on this review was of unjustifiable arrogance, so I accept your reactions on that level (i.e., the insults or threats), but I still believe that you do not want to recognize even a minimal objective quality that exists in this album.

That's perfectly fine, so at least when I rate an album, I don't vote for its genre, but I rate its songs. If I think it sucks, I give it a bad rating regardless of whether it's Metal, Pop, or House, and the same if I like it. To me, it seems that, Punk/Rock or not, this is an album with enjoyable songs.

Fidia, I have the doubt that you respond automatically, given that aside from the "vaffanculo" that I throw at you for the tone you use with me, I’m trying to explain my reasons and do so using the most valid arguments possible. You say this album is garbage; you have every right to that opinion, just as I have every right to say that you rate the band more than the album itself.
In fact, I’m convinced that if the cover had the name of some unknown band, and you had bought the album for 2 euros in some venue, you would give it a very different judgment. Then, if you don’t mind, the kid here is actually you, who keeps saying that if I had you right in front of me, I wouldn't say the things I say here on Debaser... well, if you allow me, this seems to me to be a really childish argument…
As for Festwca, whether you like it or not, I find no better definition than Punk/Rock, even though the more commercial tracks tend to blatantly lean towards Pop (like "Boulevard" or "Wake Me Up"), and by Pop I don’t mean garbage, as many here on Debaser do (people like "VIVA IL METAL, IL RESTO È MERDA"). Sure, we’re all here to praise the old, the unknown, and if something is vaguely easier to listen to, then it’s commercial garbage. You are the ones who are close-minded.
