"it's a review from a rapper for a rapper." Genius. The comedic timing (unfortunately unintentional) is not lacking in you. You're doing great. For your next review, write it "from a flute player for a flute player." mavaffanculova'.

"Rap is black, but when a white person does it, they kick everyone's ass." What a thing to read. Aside from the sadness of the post-adolescent invective like "dude, I was listening to hip-hop when you were in elementary school," the statement in quotes is truly laughable. White rappers, despite always having had enormous media resonance (and perhaps that’s what the reviewer bases their opinion on), have never said anything new or original. I remember various 3rd Bass, the Irish crew of Everlast, and many others, all labeled as the "next big thing" and then fading away into nothing. The Beastie Boys are obviously an exception. Oh, and Zack de la Rocha (who is, by the way, an absolutely bland rapper) is supposed to be white? Whatever...

Uh, thanks, I must have understood something in your Sanskrit. You're right that the album isn't the absolute best; for example, the Gorilla Biscuits are better, but it's an album that for some reason I never get tired of listening to, and I appreciate its immediacy. Kisses.

mopaga; I've already told you that if you write a review, you can't just stick to your personal tastes. If I were to write a review of The Beatles' white album and just say that I think it sucks, I would rightly be called an idiot, don’t you think? And not because that album can’t suck, but because it's an album and a band of certain importance that deserves a bit more in-depth analysis. Then you're free to not appreciate it.

What I want to tell you is that a review cannot simply be: "I don't like it," otherwise it's not a review. A band like Motörhead, you're absolutely free not to appreciate them, but if you set out to REVIEW them, then you at least need to analyze their impact, significance, and value. Then, maybe, don’t listen to them — who cares — but dismissing them like that just doesn’t sit right.
