Great record. Aside from the fact that whatever WSB has done is illuminated with genius, this is perhaps the most "musical" album I’ve been involved with. If you are a fan, I recommend the box set curated by the John Giorno Poetry System. There is no music, just the little voice of Uncle Bill reciting his pieces. In this CD, the excerpts are among his most famous works, taken from Naked Lunch, Interzone, The Soft Machine, and so on. It should be noted that for those who do not speak English or do not know Burroughs' works by heart, the value of this CD is halved. And then, honestly, to talk about "regular family", about exaggerated normality, about the absence of over-the-top attitudes for Burroughs means not knowing his biography; for example, I would tell you that his wife died from a gunshot wound to the head while they were high, playing William Tell...

would you be me? the problem with this review is precisely the setup; starting from memories as a kid and then giving a five to this (pointless) album means indulging in mistakes that should, at this point, be part of the past. I would have understood something more along the lines of "how much of an asshole I was back then for listening to this crap." and anyway, to follow galakordi, I also had "the punk phase," but I listened to Discharge. and I don't even know if it's past, seeing as in the car lately I’ve been listening to nothing but Blood for Blood... kisses
