Auto!Automatic!! Another Round Won't Get Us Down

Not much for me, but since they seem to please many—also quite literati in a musical sense—I wanted an explanation of why they are liked, so I could understand why I don’t like them.

And I almost forgot to add that I'm relieved that "bignami" poletti didn't like it. Look at totò acting like a clown, poletti, come on.

Then, I swear I'm serious, as soon as I heard it, I thought it was a record by (in the sense of "created by/for") homosexuals. Which doesn’t take away or add anything to its value, but I don't know, I just thought that way. I feel really stupid for thinking stuff like that, yet I did. I wouldn't know how to explain why.

easy: crab in the sense that calling it the album of the decade is quite bold, at least in my opinion. on the other hand, I haven't said it's crap, I just like it very little, but I realize it's a (fairly) inspired and well-crafted record. by over-interpretations, I meant that you make the record "say" things that, on the contrary, you impose on it. someone once said that the reader (in this case, the listener) or anyway the consumer of art is in some ways a co-author because they interpret and reinterpret it, make it their own. in this case, it seems to me that your consumption has become a bit, how should I put it, cumbersome, and has dressed a decent but not truly exceptional record with significances that perhaps the creators themselves never dreamed of attributing to it, but that it probably really doesn't have.

On the other hand, I strongly agree with Urtis Krat; I too am definitely in favor of interpretation, but it seems to me that in the case of the battles in question, it is more a matter of over-interpretation and that the reviewer, for some reason, wanted to find meanings where perhaps there weren't any, really forcing it.

"perhaps the most important of this decade, certainly the most enlightening" but are we sure? absolutely sure? I think the reviewer should give the album in question another few listens and then write a third review - at this point it's warranted - and finally a letter of apology, to all of us, to humanity, and perhaps even to God Himself, for having made one of the biggest blunders in the history of music criticism. It pains me a bit to say it, but at the end of the entire review the only accurate phrase is the quote from ...caz...

supersoul: you are a genius. I really don't understand the expense of 92 euros for the police; at the Egyptian Museum in Turin, they show you the mummies for much less.
