Thank you all for the compliments.
primiballi, indeed the production of FB has such a high average quality that it's easy to fall into subjectivity, especially considering the diversity of the various albums. However, I agree that "Gommalacca" and "L'imboscata" are two exceptional works, definitely not inferior to the reviewed album, which is part of Battiato's "mystical" period, and from that period, which can clearly be more or less appealing, this album is a peak, in my opinion.

The unedited version has gone out, so you'll have to bear with a couple of repetitions that are as annoying as they are unintentional.

Despite the glowing review, Sting still leaves me a bit suspicious, but maybe I’ll make sure to, um, listen to it.

It's a historically minor album, yet it's an excellent proof of the Floyd and a highly recommended listen. Many songs were also an integral part of the double concept "The Man"/"The Journey" and were therefore regularly performed live. For those who, like me, are utterly in love with the period from '69 to '72, the most interesting and idea-rich phase of the band, this is truly an essential record.

Machines, on the other hand, is born precisely from a basic idea of Taylor to which May then contributed. So it's really the opposite, and look, it's truly a well-known fact. As for the ridiculous claim that it wasn't "within his competence," let's not even go there; it's quite clear that the text stems from Taylor's passion for science fiction. Not that the song is memorable, but that's a different story altogether.

Machines, for the record, is the first song co-written by May and Taylor.

If you don’t want to be crucified, you at least need to lock away some consistency. If you say that Gimme The Prize is a "great track but not the best," then you can’t give it a 5+. Because you said "great track," you understand? Then, to say it’s the best Queen album, which is a strong statement, as subjective as it may be, since it goes against common sentiment, you need to at least provide some arguments, otherwise you won’t be credible. Because common sentiment can also be debatable, OK, but you need to say *why*, precisely.

Only "Under Pressure" is saved, which is objectively a great track; the rest is really terrible. The worst album by Queen.
