@ale87 Aside from some synthesizer sounds (you get it), I don't find anything similar in the sonorities of MIH and Division Bell O_o As for the reviewer, I really don't believe that Mother Love, A Winter's Tale, just to mention the two most striking examples, can be defined as "predictable."

Really good music manages to resonate on many levels, allowing committed and challenging artists to reach a wider audience and sometimes even sell quite a lot. Fortunately. But this doesn’t change the mechanism set in motion by MTV or whoever it may be, which still operates in a certain way that doesn’t help good music emerge from the shadows; quite the contrary.

Of course, all generalizations lead to gross errors. It's not that everything underground is beautiful. And it's not true that nothing good can also go on MTV. The point is that MTV broadcasts almost entirely ultra-commercial stuff in a massified and absolutely uncritical way. It's a celebration of the charts and well-packaged emptiness, possibly with buttocks and breasts prominently displayed to better sell the... deep content. All aimed at selling you a ringtone for your cellphone. All this while there are passionate and talented people who don't have silicone to show off and therefore can't even get seen (let alone listened to). And I’ll stop here because there’s a lot to say about the implications of all this, but there’s no time to discuss it: we have a social life to maintain.
