S4doll what idea excuse??? The plot is about as clichéd as you can imagine, the mockumentary trick dates back at least to Cannibal Holocaust, but it’s the way it was conveyed (if the word marketing bothers you) that’s the real stroke of genius, the then-innovative and now-unrepeatable exploitation (in those terms) of the internet. But what was behind the hype? What remains years later? Nothing. I remember it as the biggest cinematic scam of all time.

Going to Sanremo guarantees you visibility in terms of millions of viewers (and articles in newspapers, etc.) that not even a month of television appearances combined can provide. It's simple. Today, for example, it seems that Max Gazzè's song is the most played Sanremo song on the radio, which perhaps means he did well to bring it... even though it was as beautiful as it was not very "festival-like."

Tricarico's song is definitely one of the best at the festival. That said, I don't know the album, but rest assured that Italian music is certainly not dead without Tricarico.

The Blair Witch Project is brilliant marketing, not a brilliant film; there's a difference. Like canned air from Naples, to put it into perspective.

It seems to me that this type of song is quite old. It might have sounded new in the 80s, but now even the theme is dealt with in a worn-out and overused way. Even at Sanremo this year, we heard absolutely better stuff. Not to mention worse, though...

I have to quote Poletti on not just two points, but three: Von Trier, vastly overrated, Kidman, skilled, and also Kidman's butt...

Even 5 stars. Balagueró is good and I'm going to see the movie, but....

The ending is the same as McCarthy's novel; it's not "bullshit." And it makes sense. Of course, if one expects the classic Hollywood ending with the villain dying or something like that, they will be disappointed... it may not be to their liking, but truly, it’s not bullshit.
