Franco Battiato Ferro Battuto

primiballi, I also think that the latest Battiato album is something that 90% of musicians out there can only dream of, but I find that this album, compared to the rest of Battiato's work, has a couple of songs that don't quite hit the mark (should we name names? lontananze d'azzurro and il potere del canto) which puts it a bit lower than the best, even recent, works of ours. That said, bist du bei mir, la quiete dopo un addio, scherzo in minore are masterpieces. I agree with the top five, but I would include gommalacca in it.

@ primiballi: the fact that you rate this album as excellent intrigues me quite a bit, but I think we'll talk about it another time. Happy New Year.

The indicative instead of the subjunctive is tolerated only in the sense that no corporal punishment or detention is foreseen, but guys...

It would be a 3.5 this wrought iron, a Battiato not at his best but still with 3 or 4 numbers of great class.

Not just a beautiful album but also an important one, Battiato succeeds in some reinterpretations that are certainly not easy. A review that is, as always, elusive.

I add that I found it so boring that it made me miss Schumacher... and I've said it all!

Oops, I didn't mean to rate the review; I never do that out of habit, but the movie!!!!! 4 for the review, 2 for the film.

Burning disappointment that will keep me far away from the next announced sequel. The first two episodes, and particularly the second, signed by Burton, are light years ahead.
