asteroid desert disc... Zaireeka, I appreciate your effort, even though for me this stuff is indescribable; we could dissect it but we would take away its magic. That said, one thing, a detail that I've always liked is the way Barret "stains" his lyrics: all centered on wonder and a sense of mystery, every now and then he inserts some phrase, trivial in any other context, but which takes on a very touching and revealing tone due to the contrast ("The black and green scarecrow is sadder than me But now he's resigned to his fate 'Cause life's not unkind - he doesn't mind. He stood in a field where barley grows.") a drop of blood in the calm water.

this album by Queen, with its fantasy and fairy-tale aura, makes me think a bit of a faux-Irish pub: everyone knows it’s all fake and maybe we laugh at the over-the-top style, but in the end, you have fun and feel good... then with this and the second one, I had my first collective smoke sessions... for me, the Queen should've been invented if they hadn’t existed: a taste for exaggeration that transforms everything into play, without intellectualism, with that strong force of nature, Mercury, especially in the "tights phase"... even in the 80s, they scattered "pearls" of exaggeration: just look at Radio Ga-Ga; the first greatest hits is, for me, all to be treasured...
