Neffa Alla fine della notte

When he played hardcore, he was in the best group, when he did rap, he did it with the best people, in the best hip-hop reality in the history of Italian music, and he was the best... now he makes these records and he does them quite well. I haven't listened to this one, but I did to the previous two, and even though I definitely preferred him as an MC, he still stands out; he still creates quality stuff, transcending all the various labels and remaining true only to himself and his musical journey. In short, the dear Pellino remains fresh no matter what he does. In my opinion, he is one of the most valid musicians in Italy during these tough times. There should be more guys like him at Festivalbar and Sanremo.

Great album with an emotional history and a character who knows but stays in the shadows. I can't help but compare it to Dj Gruff; they are both DJs, both in the shadows, both masters of their craft, and they are even friends, as Sergio Messina has remixed a piece of Gruff in the latter's best work, "Frikkettonism." Both are also heavy smokers, by the way. Both are brilliant and extreme artists.

Terrible review for a terrible album. One of the worst live performances I have ever listened to. Half an hour of songs played and tweaked in the studio and half an hour of screams from a crowd of cheerleaders in heat.

"Was there really a need to make this compilation?" Well, I don't think that's the point, Liam Howlett is a DJ and it was bound to happen that sooner or later he would release a mixtape. I think it's nice... but what does Grandmaster Flash have to do with it?

I've only heard "SAIC" about this ciddì too, and honestly, that was enough for me; it sucks big time.

Bah :D I have "The Parade of the Athletes" and I'll tell you, I don't really like it much, I find it a bit bland... probably it's the genre that doesn't quite fit me. The piece in question is definitely among the prettiest of the lot.

In my opinion, "Mr. Simpatia" is the darkest chapter in Fibra's history, with horrible pop beats, simple metrics, and obvious, easy rhymes. "Turbe Giovanili," with Neffa's excellent beats, is much better, or "Sindrome di Fine Millennio," which I consider one of the best releases in the history of the Italian scene.

This, along with "Classe 73" and a few tracks from various compilations, is all I have of this rapper, and in fact, he is a character I despise. Trite lyrics and beats, mediocre flow, terrible demeanor and attitude. American to the core, from his clothing to his composing style (it’s "made in Italy" only by name, as in practice he mirrors everything from the USA, flaunting ridiculous expressions like "droppare merda bollente," "conosci il mio steelo," and similar nonsense all completely copied from the American scene). The epitome of banality as a rapper. As Kaos One (a character of a completely different caliber) would say, Bassi is the classic "MC Jerry Calà," who for ages surrounds himself with the incompetent (the "talents" he has discovered, which you refer to, one worse than the other and all identical to each other) and navigates through prepared freestyles in staged contests. "Dal Tramonto all'Alba" I find to be nothing short of ridiculous. In my opinion, Bassi has always been hugely overrated. A few notes: it's spelled "CONOSCENZA" and not "CONOSCIENZA"; it's "COSCIENZA" and not "COSCENZA," perhaps you got a bit confused. Furthermore, Fabri Fibra was not launched by Bassi, absolutely not. Fabri Fibra has long launched himself with Teste Mobili and Gli Uomini di Mare; the only contact he had was with Neffa for the production of "Turbe Giovanili"; Bassi simply contributed to his downfall starting from "Mr. Simpatia."
