A wonderful and tender album, I’m listening to it again before leaving the Italian shores for a while.
Everything is very nice, except for those two tracks with the London Orchestra...

I've been telling myself for ages that I should buy it. Great review.

It deserves a re-listen; it’s been a while since I last did it. R.I.P.

The review is a bit brief, though quite incisive. The album is not a masterpiece, but it really is a great listening experience. P.S.: am I the only one who loves "Moanin'"?

ehm... "oh my god no" minor key? "love and unlove," as far as I know, was already prepared in unsuspecting times (fall of '70) and was released only a year later, and anyway it’s not at all rushed and it’s not even a collection: it’s almost a concept, with "long" songs alternating with (sometimes really) beautiful instrumental inserts.
By the way, right here on debaser there’s a nice review of it...
X Zarathustra: it’s not necessary that you have to like it, fortunately the world is varied... :-)

God knows how many times in my life I’ve listened to "Blue in green," but every time it’s a blow to the heart. Epic and beautiful, moving and nocturnal, one of the most incredible things of the 20th century.

Really beautiful review, and this Brazilian's album intrigues me as well. Well done.

Well, oh my, "Prendila così," for example, I don't think it's just a simple song, and in my opinion, the definition of a genius of pop music fits perfectly: making songs that resonate with the Italian audience based on the insights of people like Buffalo Springfield, detached from the Italian musical context, was no small feat. Then again, de gustibus.

I almost agree on everything. Battisti was the author during the last Mogol period of a series of devastating pop albums.
