Really a great album, "Guiro" and the title track are my favorite tracks, not to mention "Che coss'è l'amor," which for a period of time was incredibly popular.

Thank you all for the compliments, I didn't expect so many admirers of our: @psychopompe ah, this phrase would have really come in handy for this review; @Mommy'sLittleMonster the latest reprint is titled as you say, the previous ones I believe are actually titled as I say. Bye :-)

Prince Around The World In A Day

Great album indeed, maybe a notch below "Purple Rain": my favorite tracks are "Paisley Park" and "Pop Life." I partly agree with your statement: it is true that people only started talking about Prince again when he returned to the mainstream, and there’s no doubt that without the promotional push "Musicology" had (especially in the States), it would have been another commercial misfire; however, it is also true that Musicology is more focused and certainly more accessible compared to works like "The Rainbow Children" or "N.E.W.S." (I won’t comment on 3121, I haven’t bought it yet). Anyway, a warm welcome to this new entry from another Prince fan :-).
Ornette Coleman Double Quartet Free Jazz - A collective improvisation

Thanks to everyone for the compliments. @Noriega: Ascension is already on my wishlist. @morningstar: thanks... @realaxl: if you don't like it, that's a matter of taste :-), but I wouldn't compare Ornette Coleman to Bob Marley, Jim Morrison, or Ennio Morricone, as he is definitely (I’d put my hand, foot, nose, eyes, and mouth on the fire) less popular than all three of the aforementioned artists (though it’s obvious that anyone between the ages of 40 and 65 knows Ennio Morricone, at least for his work with Leone).
In a perfect world, he should indeed be more popular than all three of those artists combined; I agree: the question, just like the introductory quote, serves to emphasize the idea that free jazz is considered a difficult genre, and that based on this preconception, many prefer to pass on Ornette Coleman and all of his work. Bye :-)
Vasco Rossi Colpa d'Alfredo

Ambiguous, perverse, and edgy album from a well-performing Vasco. Truly a great record.

A good review, perhaps a bit hagiographic, of an album that seems anything but a Pooh record. To the perplexed, the invitation to at least listen to the title track with Battaglia's solo, something to savor.

It's a pity I met Lauzi just a few months before the scythe, he truly deserves it..
