Allman Brothers Band Live at Fillmore East Deluxe Edition

"devastating, stunning, shocking, irresistible, furious"... that's just it... I couldn't find better words to comment on the album... but I mean, there are people who give 5 stars to Vai, to Linea 77, and so on, but is there a scale of values? What I've said about the album is actually quite little for the quality of the material being examined!!!

Fortunately, there is The Punischer who raised the question of why I always start my reviews with the list of songs contained in an album... but what are we talking about, engines? politics? sports? I have read reviews where in 100 lines only two songs from the reviewed album were mentioned... it seems logical to me to start a review by showing what is being discussed... and then compliments for the finesse, gentlemen always stand out...

The album is extraordinary, the review feels a bit lacking for such a record!!!

Michi, why does everyone believe that Debut is such a great album? I have all of her discography, and I find that one to be really the weakest and most bland episode of her career... it’s like when people tell me that the best Radiohead album is Pablo Honey... come on!!!

For me, this is absolutely not great music... too cold, too technical, too self-indulgent. "Dream Theater are artistically the offspring and product of the fertility of that era, of that ferment" maybe, they'd like that. That musical ferment of the 60s and early 70s belonged to Genesis and Gentle Giant, partly to Yes and King Crimson (Fripp has always done his own thing!!!), not at all to E.L.P, who, aside from a few decent pieces, suffer from technicality, mannerism, and self-aggrandizement, truly for its own sake... and it’s true that most of it was music for the mind, but not only that, indeed... there was so much imagination, so much heart, and great technique still skillfully subordinated to the quality of the songwriting (see especially Genesis)... Great music has never been on the side of Dream Theater...
