This album, released in 1991, is one of the examples of what an artist should not do to exploit the fleeting commercial success of a song… in 1989, in fact, "Heart Shaped World," the third solo album by our Chris, was released. Generally, a good effort from which the splendid and ethereal ballad "Wicked Game" was extracted as a single.

Following the wave of success of this, this enigmatic album was re-released: it's not a compilation, it's not the reissue of the '89 album with bonus tracks, it's not the release of rarities or unreleased tracks… despite this, the material published here, drawn from the first three albums of this American singer-songwriter suspended between Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Morricone-soundtrack-style, and languid cocktail lounge "slow" songs, is generally of sufficient level.

Recommended for those looking for a pleasant and unpretentious listen and to appreciate this crooner's attempt to find an improbable balance between the nervous depression of his lyrics and the optimistic landscapes his music evokes.
