Beautiful. Entombed, along with Dismember and Dissection, laid the foundations of Swedish death metal, while Dark Tranquillity simply brought it to the mainstream with the magnificent The Gallery.

Even though I don't know Ride, it seems quite strange to me that they influenced Deftones, as Condorbars suggests, considering that the two bands have no affinity in terms of musical genre: Ride were among the leading representatives of Britpop (as far as I understand), while Deftones have been (and still are) among the top figures in American nu-metal/hardcore. But maybe I'm wrong... boooh
