Great review Fzappait... in relatively few lines you perfectly analyze this live performance! This concert is recorded really poorly, and that's truly a shame: the version of "21st Century Schizoid Man" is absolutely stellar (the terms you used, namely "hallucinatory and elongated," fit perfectly); the improvisation "Earthbound" is fantastic and, not by chance, gives the album its title. Another problem with this live recording is the fact that "Sailor's Tale" is inexplicably cut short!... the rating would be 3 and a half stars. If the recording had been better and the concert complete, my rating would have skyrocketed much higher. - For anyone wanting to hear some good live performances from this lineup, I recommend: "Live in Detroit 1971" (stellar performance, more than decent audio quality) and "Live At Summit Studios 1972" (another excellent performance, combined with absolutely impressive audio quality)... both from the "King Crimson Collectors' Club" family.

I had a lot of fun watching this movie! Great Mel Brooks as always.
Genesis Live Over Europe

Overall, not bad this live performance, even though we are not at the top levels. Great rescues from "Duke", an album I've always considered excellent, and the version of "Land Of Confusion" is enjoyable, surpassing the lackluster original. I find the versions of "Ripples", "Los Endos", and "Carpet Crawlers" to be excellent... strangely, especially for a Genesis concert, the drums/percussions section seems quite tired and flat (see, for example, on "In The Cage").
Robert Fripp Exposure

Fripp is a genius... unfortunately, I have very little of his career outside of King Crimson. Whenever I have a moment, I try to listen to it!
Steve Lukather Candyman

It seems very interesting. I don't know it, but I will get it!
Deep Purple Concerto For Group And Orchestra

Great review Green... I quite liked the album. It does suffer a bit from a lack of cohesion between the symphonic moments and the rock ones. However, the hard moments are truly stunning, in my opinion: maybe a bit of trimming on the overly lengthy orchestral parts wouldn't have hurt (for instance, reducing the three movements from over 53 minutes to around 40) - Rating: 3 and a half stars.
Paul Kantner & Jefferson Starship Blows Against the Empire

Great review, unfortunately I don't have the album yet... from Starship I only have a few albums from their AOR period.

Great analysis, Nero. I agree with you...

Great album, although the second CD is quite exhausting in several parts. The first part of the album, however, is truly outstanding... for me, "Open The Gates, Part II" is wonderful, for example. Good review...
