Daryl Hall John Oates H2O
Voto:
The only songs I'm familiar with from this album are "Maneater" and "Family Man"... great tracks (by the way, I didn't know that "Family Man" was a cover!). I’m happy to give the rest a listen as well - Currently, the only two Hall & Oates albums I know inside out are "Big Bam Boom" and "Ooh Yeah!", since I have them on vinyl.

I listened to the album that I temporarily obtained through 'unofficial' means... what can I say? Obviously, one listen isn’t enough to make a definitive judgment (so for now, I won't give it a rating). Anyway, it's a decidedly valid pop/rock product: among the various tracks, I prefer the livelier and more rhythmic ones ("One For The Mockingbird," "Died In Your Arms," "Fear Of Falling," and "The Broadcast")... in summary, I agree with your review. - PS: I found, on YouTube, the two you recommended from their next album... "Brag" is wonderful!

Another great page today, on the homepage! As for the UFOs, I'll copy/paste from the previous review published: <they are definitely good at their kind, but they 'take' me very little. At first, they excite (I add: or is Schenker the one who excites?), but after a handful of songs, I have to move on to something else!>

Great page as always, PierPaolo... in this regard, you never miss a beat. Out of this group, like many I imagine, I only know the famous "(I Just) Died In Your Arms": truly a gem in the pop/rock realm. I'm really curious to listen to the rest of the album: if it's up to the same standards, it's definitely a must-have! Great mention then... thanks for bringing them back to my mind.

Welcome to Debaser: great first review... full of personality and attachment to the band. Honestly, the Quo don’t blow my mind. I'm not saying they're not a good band, but they do get a bit tiresome for me in the long run. Still, one can't deny that Rossi & co. are sincere and genuine, quite the opposite... - I have this album on vinyl, and it’s been ages since I last listened to it. I just jumped on YouTube and revisited it for a moment. The best moments, for me, are the softer ones (like, for example, the excellent "A Year").

With this review, you made me rediscover them... honestly, the few times I watched them on MTV (so 15 years ago), I didn't like them: obviously, this was due to my young age. I had pretty much removed them from my mind, but watching them today left a decidedly positive impression on me. Huge shoutout to Elio and Faso for the voice acting, they crack me up... the previous voice actors aren’t bad either, but I see that the dialogues in the early seasons are sometimes pretty messed up (the 'morning wood' turning into 'l'aurora nel bosco' is unbearable!).

Great review as always, Giona... I’m not familiar with this live (but the vote based on trust would be five stars, with honors!)

Great review Pibroch, as usual... they are definitely good in their genre, but they don’t quite 'grab' me. At first, they excite me, but after a handful of tracks, I have to move on to something else!

I know "Metal Health" quite well, and I consider it an excellent album. If, as you say, this album follows closely behind... then it will be a must for me to give it a listen, sooner or later!
Eric Clapton Me And Mr. Johnson
Voto:
I listened to it some time ago... it seemed a bit flat to me. In my opinion, Clapton has been definitely 'down in the dumps' in the studio for at least 4-5 years... live performances are a different story, as they always bring out the best of the great Slowhand!
