David Bowie Black Tie White Noise
Voto:
A record that, in my opinion, doesn't go beyond 'acceptable'. There are undoubtedly a few enjoyable tracks, but overall it adds practically nothing to Bowie's career: one can still glimpse an attempt at artistic recovery... an artistic recovery that will materialize, shortly after, with the masterpiece "1. Outside" and the good "Earthling". - Three stars, however, I do not deny him!

I almost missed this review... always excellent proposals from Federzan. Personally, I consider this album the best by Foreigner, along with the famous "IV". "Starrider" is simply fabulous... also great are "Headnocker," "Feels Like The First Time," and so on. The rating fluctuates between 4 and 5 stars. - Excellent review, as is customary by now!

Great album, no doubt about it… with gems like "It's Only Love," "Arrested For Driving While Blind," and "Asleep In The Desert." However, it gives me a slightly lesser sense of satisfaction compared to its excellent predecessors: still, nobody can take away the 4 stars.

Wonderful, to say the least... but I need to explore them further: I don't know this live at the moment. I have a bootleg from the early period (which sounds really awful, but the performance is explosive!). I think this is an album to add to my collection! - PS: great review, as always.

Everything is great here...

Great review, as usual... I need to delve deeper into Whitesnake: I know many scattered tracks, and they deserve a lot. If I come across them, I'll gladly give them a listen!

A truly interesting proposal, accompanied by a review that fully achieves the goal of planting a 'seed of curiosity'... you have completely piqued my interest. I listened to the samples on Amazon and I really like it: I'm noting this album down! Therefore, I reiterate: excellent recommendation!

A very well-made review, even though I don’t quite agree. For me, the album in question is absolutely valid and well-made... a sort of ideal meeting point (along with the slightly inferior subsequent "Antenna") between the '80s sound and the return to roots that began with "Rhythmeen." As you pointed out, in some places, there’s a slight lack of originality (for example, "My Head's In Missisipi" is clearly a "La Grange"-twenty-years-later)... but everything is well balanced and tremendously energetic. For me, it easily earns a 4-star rating!

Great review... this, according to many (and the ratings, as well as the review, confirm it!), should be one of his best solo works. I will give it a listen.

Great suggestion, along with Pibroch's... I was totally convinced that this album was still credited to Alan Parsons Project: evidently I was mistaken. I haven't had the chance to listen to it yet. It seems, however, like an interesting record...
