Bryan Ferry As Time Goes By
Voto:
Bryan Ferry is truly a great singer. I don't have this album... but given your review, I think I'll get it as soon as possible.
Rod Stewart It Had To Be You
Voto:
In my opinion, unfortunately, the great Rod Stewart lost his edge and inspiration about ten years ago. Just think, this one you reviewed is the first in the "Great American Songbook" series. He made three others, all the same as each other. We want the Rod of the old times back!!!
Genesis Trespass

No, I haven’t seen it... unfortunately, production from 1969-’77 is often overlooked on TV. I actually saw a program dedicated to music from the past, 'Evergreen' (on a small channel called TRS), which a few months ago dedicated a special to Genesis. The music videos, in chronological order, started with "Follow You Follow Me"!!! ... there wasn’t even a hint of what came before!!!!

Of course, Beat! If you listen to Foxtrot and then Abacab, the former obliterates the latter. But A Trick Of The Tail and part of "Wind & Wuthering" still haven’t been defeated by Collins’ ego. In fact, for example, A Trick... is very close to the sounds of the legendary Selling England By The Pound. The Genesis have sunk ever since Collins turned them into a footnote of his solo career. I know... a lot of material from the post-Gabriel era is of grade B, and I admit that freely, but "a lot" doesn’t mean "everything."

I agree with Shine... Beatboy seems a bit exaggerated to say that Genesis died after Gabriel's departure. "A Trick Of The Tail" and "Wind And Wuthering" are excellent albums (especially the former). I would also save "Duke".

Yes, I know... I have From Genesis To Revelation too. Undeniable: there are interesting ideas for sure... however, in my opinion, Trespass is already far superior.

The second album by Genesis, Trespass, fully redeems the somewhat unsuccessful debut album. The song I like the least (I hardly ever listen to it) is "Visions of Angels"... for the rest, we're already reaching excellent levels. Unfortunately, during the Collins era concerts, only "White Mountain" (from the '76 tour) and a super-simplified version of The Knife (from the '80 tour) will be played in their entirety from this album.
Rick Wakeman The Myths And Legends Of King Arthur And The Knights Of The Round Table
Voto:
Good and truly complete review, although I honestly prefer Keith Emerson (let's say for his playing style... as for technique, they are neck and neck!). Unfortunately, I don't have the album yet and can't give a rating... I hope to find it soon so I can listen to it.
