Objectively, it's the best album by Mark I, which completes the journey started with the first two LPs and sows the seeds of the Deep Purple to come: Blackmore finally shines, as always the amazing my idol Ian Paice and the monumental Jon Lord (just mentioning "April" and "Lalena," gives goosebumps), Evans-Simper perform their work excellently, but it's clear that with three characters like these they remain in the shadows. The MK I deserves a reevaluation: these are records that haven't aged very well, partly due to the quality of the recordings not always being excellent, but I don't mind them at all.

What more can be added about such an album, such a period, such a band? Here, the Genesis truly demonstrated, as the review highlighted, what they were made of, with a production finally up to par and all the members already at their technical peak. Refined and timeless music, as previously mentioned, a milestone. I was lucky enough to find the original vinyl (first edition, not a reissue) at the Camden market in London, in nearly perfect condition, a work of art, a delight to admire in its original proportions (CD booklets are just too small!) with all the details and graphic accuracy, and the lyrics of Supper's Ready taking up practically an entire side. Not to mention the sound quality and the emotions that the vinyl conveys. All for the modest price of six pounds, unbelievable but true!

I was there, it was incredible and a lot of fun even though I wasn't close to the stage (thankfully)! Epic when a guy not too far from me shot him the classic green laser in the face... "OUCH! YOU MOTHERFUCKER!!"

The review perfectly reflects my opinion on the album in question, so I won’t add anything; it's true, the times of Ignition, Smash, and Ixnay are long gone, but I believe this band is still producing great tracks, despite a negative downturn at the beginning of the millennium.

A review unworthy of this magnificent masterpiece, tackled perhaps too superficially (and written a bit poorly). But I wouldn't be too harsh on the reviewer; being their debut on Debaser, they will have time and room to improve.
An album that evokes different sensations, varying from person to person... When I listen to Kometenmelodie 1 & 2 (strictly in the dark!), it feels like I'm being catapulted into outer space and listening to the pulsations of that comet... Simply genius!

I have only played Morrowind and Oblivion; I agree that "in 2002 Morrowind paved a new road in computer Role-Playing Games, Oblivion laid the same road" with great graphics, but less freedom and a somewhat less compelling story. I believe that those at Bethesda have increasingly focused on details at the expense of the bigger picture, where it's not just the top-notch graphics that make a game truly unforgettable.
Blackmore's Night Shadow Of The Moon

Well done, excellent review of a truly magical album, the first in a series that has consistently maintained high standards. The voice of the beautiful Candice fits perfectly with the medieval and folkloric atmospheres, and in my opinion, it still has that "youthful" quality that will soften in the subsequent albums in favor of greater "maturity"; Ritchie is still himself, his touch is unmistakable, weaving engaging and virtuosic tapestries; the band supports them brilliantly, and Ian Anderson is the cherry on top. Many criticize this choice of Ritchie Blackmore, but in my view, it only confirms his extraordinary talent and perhaps a unique career in the rock landscape.
