Rory Gallagher Live! In Europe
Voto:
Great review written in an enthusiastic manner. For me, Live in Europe has little to envy compared to Irish Tour; it excellently completes the first phase of Rory's career and perhaps represents the last testimony of his more "raw" vein (the change in lineup will lead to a refinement of the sound). Well done, Jonny.

Canterbury scene at its best. Huge disco, perhaps more cohesive than the previous one (but it's impossible to make choices here). Beautiful review that well captures the magic that this timeless music conveys.

Magical, little else to add to what has been said and repeated about them. Exciting, bucolic, and exquisitely British in every way. I remember hearing this during the train journey to Canterbury.

Watched it this evening, and I agree. The first half is definitely superior to the second, where the decline is noticeable. Yes, there's a bit of self-irony and some funny lines (I have no idea how they were translated into Italian, though), many references, but the plot stumbles and the comparison with Skyfall doesn't hold. What a shame, it could have been a great movie if, as emphasized in the review, they had dared more with the script and not just with the visual aspect.

Agreed on everything, a great album with no weak points. I have it on vinyl, cherished dearly. The review is not.... a review, that’s all.

Sure, the review doesn’t add anything new to what has already been said and repeated about this album, but it is definitely commendable that an 18-year-old likes it and wants to review a record that most of his peers will never listen to. Queen I has a freshness that no other Queen album will have in the years to come, but in my opinion, they will do better (and I actually consider it their best episode along with Sheer Heart Attack) with the next one. The fact is that I have consumed and overconsumed their discography over the years. Well done, Roto96!

A crazy debut that brings together three characters who were already famous and appreciated for their extraordinary talents at the time. Personally, this is my favorite album among the first four, closely followed by Trilogy, also because it's the least "trash" of them all, without too many show-off moments from Emerson, forgive my expression, which can be tiring and ultimately pointless. As soon as I had the chance to buy the original vinyl (for just a few pounds and in excellent condition), I did it without hesitation; it sounds magnificent considering it's a record from '70, a truly high-level production. Great review!!
