KoRn Life Is Peachy
Voto:
Well, let's say that the first "Korn" is a masterpiece in the strictest sense of the word; this is a missed masterpiece, meaning it’s a very enjoyable album that, due to a few flaws (almost inaudible on a first listen), fails to achieve the highest ratings. More gothic than the first, it's a sort of mix of various musical genres, but it has the merit of reaching third place in the American charts. Unfortunately, it has the downside of causing a dramatic decline in the subsequent performance of all following Korn albums, except, but that's a matter of taste (and I quite like it), "Untouchables" from 2002.

Whoever wrote this immense load of crap should be permanently banned from any music site on the Internet...
Ivano Fossati La disciplina della terra
Voto:
After so many masterpieces, a bit of a misstep: the tracks are still very beautiful musically (even if the consistent identity of a musical journey here is less successful than usual) and the collaborators (Rava, Gatto, Quirici) are always reassuringly welcome. However, there’s a certain verbosity and heaviness in the lyrics, along with an intellectual air that begins to cause hives: if one falls into the trap of comparing this album to masterpieces like "La pianta del tè," there's not much to be done: that's a whole different story. And at times, incredibly, it even manages to make one yawn. Fossati is no longer the artist he once was, alas...
Van Morrison Moondance

Absolutely excellent, a refined masterpiece, and those games of "Is 'Astral Weeks' better than this?" are idiotic and a bit self-indulgent. When you listen to albums like this, you can't help but be enchanted and want to go shake the author's hand; after all, how could one resist the seductive charm of "Caravan"?
Litfiba Colpo Di Coda
Voto:
A so-so double live album, unfortunately it marks the forced end of Litfiba, and in a short time, we move from "El diablo" to "Il mio corpo che cambia" or, worse yet, "Regina di cuori." Perhaps it all starts from here, from afar, the future split between Pelù and Renzulli: the former was a great performer (truly luciferian), the latter an excellent guitarist, and "17 Re" remains indisputably their best work.

Among all the Queen albums, this one is, all in all, the least bad...
Frank Zappa The Grand Wazoo

A curious and very nice (and truthful, which is the most important thing) review, but to be honest, it's not my favorite Zappa album. I much prefer "Hot Rats," "Uncle Meat," and "Sheik Yerbouti," even though among jazz rock improvisations and delightful instrumental fantasies, there's plenty to be satisfied with. "Blessed Relief" is amazing, and the cover is a true masterpiece of painting.
Piero Pelù U.D.S.: L'uomo della strada
Voto:
A negligible album, if it weren't for the beautiful duet with Anggun. But the rest of this Pelù album is truly pitiful, and "Soggetti smarriti" was at least a bit more listenable. Certainly, when compared to the Litfiba of the mid-Eighties, it’s genuinely disappointing.
David Bowie Scary Monsters
Voto:
It’s a sharp and sudden change of direction that Bowie takes with this album. Rockier and more metallic, it includes many nice tracks (not great), a couple of mediocrities, and one piece that alone is worth an album, "Ahes to ashes." However, rating this album with the highest score is a crime; a 5 should be reserved for other works ("Heroes," but above all the masterpiece of masterpieces "The rise and fall of ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars").

Here the problem is another, dear Andreus: I agree with you on the album rating (actually, let’s say that 4 was better), but you arrived a bit late; the album had already been reviewed several times. Then, oh, it’s not really your fault: I’ve also reviewed a good ten albums by Battisti and Dylan that were already out there…
