Bob Dylan Oh Mercy
Voto:
Boring Bob Dylan with a cold voice? The stoned drummer has spoken.

Saputello says: "If you live there, just know that if you say the same thing, no one will believe you." Let’s see if someone actually believes me. By the way, you will also take a little visit to my website that I’m building in a few months (Il Poletti - Encyclopedia of Music). Maybe I won’t convince you, maybe it will waste a bit of time, maybe I don’t give a damn, maybe I’ll do what I want.

I'm not trying to be a know-it-all. I might talk nonsense about music, but I could say the same about you. As you can see, there's no way out of this.
Roberto Vecchioni Hollywood Hollywood
Voto:
Vecchioni is good, I admit it, but he's really too snobbish. When he shakes off that professor aura (which he is, of course), it’s a whole different story: think of "Samarcanda" or "Milady," and partly also "Blumun." Wasn't it simpler and more direct?

No, don't worry. I'm not a know-it-all, I only talk about music. Everything else I'll leave to others.

I pray to Jim Morrison, you know I'm about to compete with Scaruffi? You don't mind, do you? Or should I make a formal request on stamped paper?

But please... Addressed to everyone. However, the review is nice.
Bob Geldof The Vegetarians of Love
Voto:
Perhaps Geldof's finest album, imbued with Irish folk and some vaguely Dylan-esque touches. One track (among others very beautiful), "The Great Song Of Indifference," was later covered by the Modena City Ramblers.
XTC Apple Venus Vol.1
Voto:
Pop, guitars, strings: a new life for XTC, and a new way of thinking about music. Ambitions are rising, the musical level is still quite high, but we are far from past masterpieces like "English Settlement."
Robbie Williams Intensive Care
Voto:
To trash Robbie Williams? Well, yes, it can be fun. But this is a gratuitous insult, and while Robbie may not be all that great, let’s be patient—there's a lot, and I mean a lot, worse out there. It's not a one-star album, because he does have some ideas and at least a couple of decent songs. It really comes down to personal taste, and if I have to tell you my opinion, I’m not a fan either. However, being a bit more objective and less childish once in a while would do some good…
