Sorry... there I was supposed to write SENTENCE... in fact, Postmortem is introduced with a rather emblematic phrase... pardon the mistake.

Well... if you mention symphonic, you definitely shouldn't call me Puritanical... I believe that the ultimate symphonic album is indeed Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, because Dimmu Borgir with their last two works have really made an absurd commercial turn... and anyway for me, we can also find the symphonic in Damnation... ok for the discredited band... but that album alongside Dusk is truly admirable.

Easy, you know I've never offended you in that way and I've always aimed for a civil conversation, so don't believe those who say it was me.

I mean... you don’t like them, that’s perfectly fine... but you can’t put Metallica and Dream Theater on the same level. As I already said, the historical importance of Metallica is undeniable: they have written masterpieces of metal, excellent, and I mean excellent (forgive the term) songs, technically good... but DT, no matter how much you may dislike them, are technically perfect and far superior to Metallica. They might disgust you, and there’s nothing to argue about that... you’re invited to respond so we can keep the discussion going. Do DT dream of having a drummer like Ulrich (did I spell it right?)? Maybe Metallica dreams of having a drummer like Mike Portnoy... or a bassist like Myung... as for the singer, let's not even go there because they have two completely different singing styles. So... Hammett wouldn’t know how to play DT songs which, however much you dislike them... well... they are terrifyingly technical. Hammett has written beautiful songs, okay... but his solos leave much to be desired technically, and have you ever heard him live? He misses notes, goes off time, has a kind of dirty sound... Petrucci doesn’t miss anything in this live performance... his only fault is wanting to do things his own way sometimes, changing patterns and surprising us... that’s all, that's not a mistake, that’s inventiveness and the ability to go beyond.
