And then, you tell me that it's difficult to sing a harder piece every night...so? An artist's professionalism is also reflected in their consistency...I don’t know if you've seen concerts of people who sing every night at the same high level of quality...never mind Amy Lee...if she can't sing certain pieces, or at least, if she can't perform them live, then she should stay at home...Even when I heard "Fallen," I shouted miracle because the girl's voice was praiseworthy...it moved me quite a bit...but it has fallen short live...too easily certain "artists" achieve success...for me, Lee is no different from the many pop queens: one poses as a sexy icon, the other as a gothic and sad icon all dressed in black talking about real life blah blah blah blah blah...

Dear... singing well means having a singing technique. It doesn’t matter if it moves you and not me. Cher, if it moves you, that’s great; no one takes that pleasure away from you. I judged the album according to my own opinion (the presence of grammatical errors annoyed me, and I’ve already said too many times that I messed up this time... read my other reviews...). Here we’re not talking about artistic sensitivity, but artistic ability, which is something entirely different. Then, you tell me that these are challenging pieces or that they require significant work, and I say: NO! The songs of Evanescence do not stray far from nu-metal or the sounds beloved by Lacuna Coil. There’s no experimentation, and there’s no real technical-compositional ability that elevates their quality level (I mean quality not as beauty but as real artistic content). Let’s please distinguish between BEAUTIFUL music and GOOD music. The songs of Evanescence are built on intervals and harmonic structures that are completely simple and easy to compose. And excuse me, anyone could write songs like that; it’s not even necessary to stick to musical harmonic rules to write intervals that are as predictable as they are obvious. It’s always the same triads, the same harmonizations. Then, I judge based on what I’ve seen, and believe me, I’ve seen a lot: I saw their old Rock Am Ring performance, where the only one who looked good was Ben Moody, while Lee was just bending from the effort. I saw them at Festivalbar and at their concert, and I judge from official appearances, and excuse me if that’s not enough. Never mind that they move you; since you like them, that’s all good. I can also be moved by a song like "My Immortal," but that doesn’t mean there’s any real quality in that music. Amy can sing well in the studio, of course, but live she misses notes terribly. A good singer almost never misses a note. If I need to learn to write things of greater substance, then let’s teach Amy Lee to write music that deserves the success she has, not trivial songs that are worth nothing.

let he who is without sin cast the first download. Unfortunately, music is categorized, and as such, I must categorize it as a reviewer. Unfortunately, the distinction must exist, otherwise we would confuse classical with pop and metal, etc... Do you like the album? Good for you, I'm happy... but come on... to say that Amy Lee is three times better live than in the studio seems quite strange to me... I’ve seen the live Anywhere but Home and (aside from the guitarist’s performance, which doesn’t hold up to Moody) Amy Lee often struggled to stay in tune. Also... if you use the internet just to see the reviews... that’s another story... because you’re now pointing fingers at me for reviewing an album that hasn’t been released yet... but I don’t believe any of you use the internet for other purposes, like downloading.

Terrible review. Instead of focusing on the album, you waste time trashing the DT. Which doesn't make sense. Whether one group is more technical than the other doesn't contribute anything to the overall value of the work. Talk about the album, the songs, the emotions it brings you, but don't just mention that the DT this and the DT that... it doesn't make sense... especially because comparing the DT to Symphony is entirely off: they're completely different. Please... anyway... you play the DT then...

Bisius... but how? On DeBaser, people complain that there are 100,000 reviews about Iron, 1,000 about DT, and 1,000 about Tallica... you complain that no one reviews emerging or unknown bands, and then... you complain when someone reviews well-known bands?

Ah! You're mistaken...! It's true... prog-metal is my favorite genre... but go check out my list of reviews and you'll find that my tastes are quite varied! No offense, don’t worry!

Great review tepes, as always... I've listened to the album and it seems to me really out of place both musically and thematically.
