Sparklehorse feel quite a bit. Let’s say that Pierce has been in heaven and that coming back to earth he brought us a bit of Mark Linkous.

Ah, if I were an editor, how many little hearts I would have added. But I'm not, and the latest young editors are so tight-hearted...
Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds From Her To Eternity

This is truly terrible, sickening, in an artistic sense, of course. What I prefer from Cave is The Good Son; it has a melancholic atmosphere, like a nostalgic song returning from a trip to hell (Cave's drug-addicted period) that gives chills and is incredible. Lucy is my favorite.

Thank you all for stopping by. Anyway, regarding the intro, I found out that among the current afterhours is one Rodrigo d'Erasmo, who seems to be a huge fan of Nick Drake. It wasn’t a coincidence that listening to afterhours led to a discussion about Nick Drake.

By the way, now that I think about it, how I would like an after is practically a cover of "Fly" by Drake.

Guys, I want to make this clear once and for all: the intro was clearly ironic, dammit. The style was purposely pompous; I didn't intend to seriously be the Keats of our times. I wasn't trying to do poetry (not in this space)!!

As for Wyatt and Canterbury, it's the winds of Enrico Gabrielli in the final part of "io so chi sono" that remind me of it. Regarding Beefheart, the opening part of "Ci sarà una bella luce" seems taken from Trout Mask Replica. However, I also find, in certain tracks, the "jazz" singing of Lucio Dalla from his early days (??), as well as references, even in the "blues" riffs, to Battisti's more "dark" and "rough" style from the early '70s (??). In short, a ton of references, as was the case with Capossela's latest. One last thing (maybe), the phrase "O piccino, diventa ciò che sei" in "Spreca una vita" (it's her again) is pure genius.

I listened to these at your suggestion. I don't remember if they struck me, maybe not. I'll give this another try. Hi Geo, nice to see you.
