Vinicio Capossela Canzoni della Cupa
Voto:
@[highlande] I checked the lyrics of the two pieces by Conte... The word "cupa" is used in a completely different way than how Capossela uses it. In the first case, it is an adjective (as you point out) and nothing more. In Capossela's case, it is a noun that almost indicates a supernatural entity; there's a nice difference (try reading his novel).

For this beautiful review of an imaginary character, if JL Borges were still alive, he would be doing somersaults of excitement. Your intelligent originality has been missing around here.

If I wanted to apply the famous saying "Talk about it badly, as long as you talk about it" in this case, I could be happy about it. But I don't want to!! Honestly, I would love it if the ghost of AlessioIride/fiquata suddenly reappeared here and said a few of his...

Stunning, moving, and absolutely a must-see for fans of philosophical sci-fi in the style of Solaris etc. (it oozes existentialism)

Ah, I almost forgot. Referring back to what I wrote above, this is why I've been avoiding writing about deb lately. One more thing I forgot. The review is just as beautiful as the work being reviewed. That's why I finally decided to at least leave a comment. Best wishes to everyone.

I have always been inclined to appreciate the melancholic pleasure that comes from surrendering to the memories of the past, to childhood, to the films I used to watch, to the music I listened to, to the people I knew, and so on. However, now that I have crossed into my fifties, I realize that I must force myself to escape from this toxic pleasure. Otherwise, without even realizing it, I risk considering myself already dead without being truly so physically. Also, because some things make me think. Recently, I happened to see an interview with Umberto Eco from 1982 on TV, when he was 50 years old, a year younger than my current age, taken from a program called "20 anni al 2000." He was asked how he imagined himself in the year 2000, and Eco replied that it was difficult for him to envision himself at 70. And for a while, caught up in the interview, I thought that 2000 was still to come. Then I rationalized that the year 2000 had already passed and that we are in 2016 and that Eco died at 84 not long ago. I felt a shiver at the realization of how quickly time passes.

And it doesn't matter if it's better for me that Nick Drake is left alone and you start listening to something simpler..

A "cult" review that didn't quite succeed, inspired by Scaruffi's style... It would have been better if Locon's work had remained the only one. I find the album to be more of a masterpiece every time, even though it sometimes brings a certain discomfort over me (thanks to the sound, which is at times too evocative of past, present, and future melancholies).
