So far, I've only listened to the second CD. If I Have To Go is one of the most poignant things written by Tom. Anyway, a true expert on Tom Waits, as I modestly consider myself having practically all his albums, can understand for each song which album it's an outtake from. Considering sound, singing style, and lyrics. For example, "If I Have to Go" is, in my opinion, an outtake, just like "Long Way Home" from Mule Variations (the SECOND is so/too similar to Hold on, the FIRST is either the younger or older sister of Take it with me, based on the sound and the lyrics. "Bend Down the Branches" from ALice, etc.
