Dear Dave, once I used to say: "Better a copy of a copy of a copy of Genesis (imitating progressive in general) than (just to say) the original Duran Duran." And I would have said this even if Duran Duran had composed the piece of the century. In short, I had some rigid mental schemes in my head as hard as diamonds. Now, with age, I've tried to change my perspective and not rely too much on others' judgments and to eliminate some preconceived notions. I even find myself appreciating Cremonini, when he deserves it, in his own small way.

Guys, if you go to the end of track 4, and pay attention, you'll hear a 2/3 second sound that seems out of place. If you listen closely, you'll notice that it's an Easter Egg made up of a tiny excerpt from Peter Gabriel's flute solo in Firth of Fifth, but even more beautiful than the original. It requires a bit of imagination, but if you try, especially in the evening around 9:23 PM, it will be a mystical experience...

The best album by Genesis alongside Foxtrot. Peter Gabriel's flute in here is something fabulous.

Very large, some time ago I thought about writing the review of this album, which belongs to the more pop and less wild period of Family but which, together with Bandstand, contains splendid tracks and inspiration for many groups to come.
