Very capable, you are very competent (but others can express this better than I can), but I don’t like your writing (even though it sometimes contains beautiful images); it's not imaginative in its structure, it doesn't take risks, it's too down-to-earth, and then there are some grammatical errors (I fear not caused by distraction). And finally, you stole an old idea of mine (the one about the notes at the end), but I can't exclude that I might have borrowed it from someone before me.

This is not a review; it is a time machine, or rather, it is a fragment of Aleph (I am referring to Borges' story) that has ended up in the world of Debaser. Huge and brilliant. I repeat. HUGE AND BRILLIANT.

I know Sea Shanties. It's a tense record and they are very good. Their music reminds me of a rolling sea of sharp, hissing guitars. It also recalls something of KC's third version (the one with Red, etc.). It's unsettling too, like much of Progressive music.

To me, who has been following them for a few years (9), what attracts me most about them is their desire to explore new paths and their imagination. The fact that in the beginning they were struggling and now they just have holes under their armpits is not important to me. The imagination, intellectual curiosity, and desire to surprise are intact compared to their early albums as well as the latest ones. And then, I like progressive music, and the Drozd version of the FL is soaked in it, while still maintaining the dadaist component of the original version.

So beautiful, and above all natural and light is your way of writing, exactly the opposite of mine...

Beautiful review, especially for that "fruit of a panic love for nature that comes from Al Bano's peasant roots." Not everyone can do that, huh? The peasant world has so much to teach us; we ourselves are born from Mother Earth, as the great Nick Drake said in "From the Morning." And perhaps for this reason we fear it and at the same time are so drawn to it.
