You're good and you have a really nice nickname, but it's pointless to insist...

I know little (though I've heard of them) about the groups you mentioned (including the Pogues, the Stooges, Iggy Pop, well Iggy Pop a bit yes, but not much, it might be considered a shame, I know) but the question I always ask myself when I read what you write is: Could it be that you are actually from 1992? I've got it, I see: you are from 1892 and you're a remarkable 116 years old (but you have a very clear mind for your age)!!!!

I read the review. It's well-written, but why do you mention "A music that is very simple in its harmonic structure"? That doesn’t seem quite right to me; apart from the title track, I wouldn't say that is the case (especially for La Favola degli Aironi and La Canzone del Rimpianto).

If the English had Branduardi, or rather, the French, they would have made him a national monument. He has written some things of absolute beauty, but among them, there is not "Alla fiera dell'est" (the piece). This album, in spirit, reminds me very much of Nick Drake's "Five Leaves Left." The instrumental introduction of "Il Funerale" is splendid. "Canzone del Rimpianto" (very Drake-like) is sublime. I’m done... "La Favola dell'Aironi" is wonderful. The only flaw of this album is that it hasn’t been remastered (the audio quality of my copy is really poor).

I just wanted to say one thing. I am not left-leaning (let alone extreme), even though I share various ideas from the left, the right, the center, the top, and the bottom... My vision of society is out of this world because I haven't yet managed to synthesize it. As soon as I have my political manifesto ready (it should be inspired by those of Frederick II of Swabia), I will publish it on Debaser.

In any case, in my opinion, clinging to the beautiful Pasolinian quote at the end of the review, what truly distinguishes certain artists (Pasolini, De André) from the mass is the ability to love (and to express love for) those who are different from you, to be fascinated by them. Tolerating is indeed not difficult, but it implies the choice to remain nonetheless separate and distinct from what is tolerated. De André and Pasolini mingled with the objects of their love; they were not just chroniclers.
