I was obsessed with this album, Undertow was the title of my radio show, good times... I would have reviewed it in an intestinal way too; this album is written with gastric juices and is strictly listened to through the stomach. Flood and Bottom are my favorite tracks (I had dreamed my whole life of an intro like the one in Flood, and Tool pulled it off), and the lyrics are also duodenal, especially those of the title track. By the way, Undertow is a marine current that flows beneath the others, in the opposite direction. And I've said it all.

Oh yes, 3/4 is 75%, 2/3 is 66% ;) The MPs are therefore placed in the first quarter, let's say on a base of 100, they fall within the top 25. But I tell you that even before technique and physicality, it’s passion that makes the difference; that of the MPs is passionate music. This is why 20-minute pieces don’t bore you and concerts last for hours.

But to be honest, the truth is another; technique is a category that does not exist in music, or at least it’s of no use, or at least it never makes a difference (Nirvana docet). In short, I, who just today relistened with delight to the Motor, don’t take it personally if on some little web page someone writes that their technique is not superior and blah blah blah.

Of course they’re not useless, just as they blow the minds of 2/3 of the groups, maybe even 3/4, but their essence isn’t there. I mean, a Vortex Surfer is what it is thanks to what it is, not how it’s played. In this sense, they kick the ass of 99/100.

3 things. 1) To make you understand how little I’m a scaruffiano, I tell you that only now I’m looking at their page on Motorpsycho, and it seems to me like it was made by someone who hasn’t grasped their essence, but all in all, that’s fine; you can’t grasp everything. 2) I read the one on Ondarock very inattentively (just now), and honestly, it doesn’t seem so off the mark. Anyway, you say they wrote that the composition saves them from a not-so-excellent technique? Well, what could be more true? The Motorpsycho phenomenon is based on the ability to create musical loops that tear your guts out, certainly not on "technique," but by now we adults have all freed ourselves from the tyranny of technique over art, ergo, no question here. 3) Spitting in our own eye out of mere admiration for Royal Trux? You take life passionately… anyway, while you spit, look into the face of the one who reflects in my pupils, and tell me what score you give him, from 1 to 5.

The Motorpsycho have a superhuman melodic ability that continues to inspire wonder in me even after repeated listens. Ah, I agree with the guy at number 5.

I mean that the appearance in the age of YouTube would have been a fall from grace ;) I imagined this, like a thousand other "material" assumptions, which are completely out of place in a reading of the Gospel. Anyway, the questions raised in the review seem pointless to me, and above all, I think it could have been written much better. The third revelation seems a bit adventurous as a concept..

I was being ironic too, Gira.. ;)

It would solve everything but it wouldn't be much of a life... imagine how boring, no doubts, no mystical crises. That's the limit of false idols, too predictable.
