Free Jazz has been very well reviewed recently in these pages, two minutes before I did...

I see Charley like you do. The problem is that the news broadcasts promote the fear of walking down the street, rather than the fear of carrying the monkey of the Camorra, illegality, and frustration on one's shoulders. At that point, the public's response is "army," not "programs and patience." And that doesn't seem nice to me.

I don't have Different Train, I'll take care of it. Let me know about Druumming, maybe you can download it and then buy it, as I think I will do too.

Alright, so we have some cross-listening ahead of us, great.

By now, grappling with this album seems almost a necessary rite of passage for every debaseriano, especially if they're a novice. I didn't like this one either, too celebratory and filled with rhetoric, and too descriptive of an album that no longer needs describing, and probably not even reviewing anymore.

Yes, Heron, the time has come. As I wrote in a previous post about the Coltranian influences (even more evident in Music for...), Reich himself has never hidden it. I imagine he was referring to the later Coltrane, the more experimental, ethereal one, who had expanded the geographical boundaries of his music. I endorse the quote from Electronic Meditation.

I, for example, hate it. However, once I saw it in a photo with a gorgeous female next to it.

A work of great "historical" value, which I have rarely been able to listen to without breaking down. However, I am trying again tonight. Flawless and enjoyable review.

D) I don't think this is one of the most beautiful pieces by Pino Daniele. The most famous one, yes. I find that, just to mention one, "Donna Cuncè" tells the story of the city and the music of that artist much better, who until a few years ago knew how to be often extraordinary. E) I have been too harsh with the grade, I’ll average it out.

Two things, being a Neapolitan. A) The people of Naples are NOT afraid. This, like many others, is a belief induced by the news, which finds it quite charming to immortalize the pain of ordinary people. The people of Naples get up in the morning and go about their day, knowing they have a great chance of returning home unharmed, much like someone from Milan. I've walked through the Quartieri Spagnoli at 4 in the morning, alone, without ever having problems. B) True, the story of "bullying" is a widespread phenomenon. But at traffic lights, we don't fight. My friends from the north marvel at how we Neapolitans absorb the chaos at intersections and the serpentine lines of crazy scooters with indifference. In Pordenone, they tell me, people brawl over much less. C) The army doesn't help solve the city's problems; it would be like sending drug addicts to prison to solve their issues. What we need is a serious program and a hundred years of patience.
