I'm waiting for a judgment on the album! Feel free to be bastards, I won't take offense;-)

@Matt7, well you are definitely more experienced than me in petruccism, however even with the Music Man it has a much less dynamic sound compared to that of a Malmsteen, although definitely better than the midi-sound of the early albums recorded with the "Picasso".

Thanks Marco! You're too kind, the website is www.pandaemonium.org, you can find some samples, the genre is power metal so I'm not sure if you'll like it. Our guitarist is a big fan of Malmsteen, you can hear it well in the instrumental track of the album (there might be a sample on the site) or in his side project www.perpetualfire.net. Anyway, you can also find the album on the torrent, if you download it I swear I won't report you.

I know, I know, Matt7, but in the golden days of his shredding, for example when he made the video "Learn from the master" or when he recorded the most shredded albums of Dream, he used the Ibanez of Harlequin.

Nice post guitarist, speed on the guitar is not easily assessable, also because - as I mentioned some time ago - you always have to consider the sound and the instrument that the guitar hero wields. 20 notes on Malmsteen's Stratocaster, with the high action it has and the raw sound he uses, cannot be compared to 20 notes on the "smooth" Ibanez of a Vai or a Petrucci.

ahhhh! It's the fault of the radical-hermetic communication of the channel.

In my opinion, he remains a genius, someone with a name like that, with hair like that, with so many handles swirling around him... how can he not be the greatest guitar hero of all time!? Anyway, joking aside, I watched this instructional video, and on his side, I must say he has a nice sound, with a good attack (as the good Marco85 used to say) and a solid touch with his picking hand. As for the comparison of raw speed, I won't comment (I'll leave that to you guitarists), although in an overall technical assessment, he is light years behind Malmsteen and Vai. Artistically, let's not even go there.

Hey guys, don't forget that he can do sweeps with his hand the other way around, a useful circus technique if you want to look like a perfect idiot!
