Verdena Live @ Havana Club - Napoli 18/03/04

I quote myself from another review:
The Verdena, on their records they’re lions and on stage they’re a bunch of assholes... you might say. GOD how they brag, I saw them in Fuscaldo, a small town in Calabria that has probably never heard a distorted note in its entire existence: the crowd is in a frenzy for these four clowns whose live tracks all sound terrifyingly alike, and what do they do? They don’t even come to sign a couple of damn autographs for those crazies who were waiting for them at the end of the concert... Another time I saw them at the Rolling in Milan during a showcase: after twenty minutes the cursed poet-singer of my damn buddies announces: "now we will do a psychedelic Jam" (I mean, can you really announce a psychedelic Jam?!). An unfortunate member of their staff comes on stage to play a damn sax and they proceed to pseudo-improvise on an utterly ridiculous loop for 20 minutes. At the end of the concert, I catch the bassist upstairs and we exchange a few words... when I tell her I had fun playing a couple of her bass lines, she says: "Well, they’re not that difficult..." And I think (but my face betrays my thought): "At least you know, bitch..."

I have to essentially repeat the comment I left on Low by Testament; it’s another album that was hailed upon release in the nineties but never got under my skin...oh well.

Oh mom, I stopped to read a few lines of the review... what the hell is he saying?! <<XKè E UNO STILE NUOVO E ANCHE MOLTO GIOVANILE PER IL CANTANTE ANCHE SE POTEVA FARE DI MEGLIO RIMANE SEMPRE IL SOLITO LIGABUE CHE CI FA SOGNARE E GUARDARE IN FACCIA ALLA REALTà SEMPRE CON CANZONI PIù BELLE ED ENERGETICHE>>. This reviewer is already in an Happy Hour...

First Cornetto Music, then Mtv Day, but how about paying for a ticket once in a while?
Marty Friedman Loudspeaker

Marty knows Japanese perfectly! But did you ever see that episode of that Japanese show where he and Paul Gilbert compete with mind-blowing riffs!? So much fun, a must-have. Thanks for the review Matt, you've just given me the idea for my little brother's birthday, who is a huge Friedman fan, one of the most harmonically original and accurate soloists in metal (and beyond)!
Velvet Dieci Motivi

Poor Velvet, for goodness' sake I would love to have their visibility, but the bands that try to emancipate themselves from their status as pop groups by attempting to cater to more critical and demanding audiences give me the same feeling as the butcher who made his money and decides to buy himself a Rolex.

Good job Ocram, I want the original too, I already know that if I download it I won't enjoy it... if you then say it's difficult it wouldn't survive two rounds on an iPod.
