You're right, miciatrige, I'm sorry if I came off as rude. The problem is that on this site sometimes there are pranksters - so-called fakes - who write "fake" reviews just to provoke. I thought you were one of those because in both this one and the Star Wars review I noticed some strange inconsistencies (like: in Star Wars you criticize the film and then give it 5 for somewhat flimsy reasons). I might have been mistaken, feel free to express yourself. Bye

Look, as far as I'm concerned, the choice to write in English is simply a necessity; in Italian, I just can't do it, it doesn't sound right to me at all. Maybe it's because my musical education is mostly shaped by Anglophone bands. In reality, it's a need that arises at a compositional level, because when I write, what comes first and matters most is the melody of the vocal line. Once that's out, it’s hard for me to fit a decent Italian text into it. Moreover, I believe there's nothing wrong with certain Italian bands writing in English; I don't see it as a form of homogenization, but rather as a simple stylistic choice.

The catch with Italian in rock music is exactly this: either you use a barrage of truncated words (but in the end, you always end up saying me, you, and whyyyyy, nothingggg, I already know who I'm reminding you of) or, on the other hand, if you use the vocabulary more freely, like these guys do, you often end up taking away from the vocal melodies their impact and musicality. Perhaps this is also why some vocal lines from Teatro haven’t caught me. For instance, I really struggle to write lyrics in Italian...
