I thought it would be an extremist opinion... luckily there are still some people who keep their brains in their skulls instead of storing them in the fridge. Congratulations.

It looks like you're tearing them apart a bit... judging by the latest "Nine destinies and a downfall," I’d say you’re not entirely wrong, even though I liked it overall. True, Tristania is better, especially if these guys have copied them.

What a shitty syntax... I meant to say "after Frontlines it certainly doesn't drop for any remote resemblance to Slipknot."

A stunning album at the beginning, let's say up to Frontlines; afterwards, it's certainly not due to any distant resemblance to Slipknot that it drops off.

It goes without saying that this story of Cristina with Jim Root is purely gossip.

Well... it's understandable that there are many better ones in their genre (Paradise Lost in their early days above all, of course) and among the Italians (I really enjoyed Novembre and Rhapsody); however, I don't think they should be dismissed, quite the contrary. I reiterate to the point of nausea: Evanescence has nothing to do with Lacuna Coil, nor with gothic in general).

Alright, I'll cut off my fingers... I'll give you a 5 just to not ruin your average, even though you deserve a 4 in my opinion. As for the album, not even 5x10^97 would be enough.

If the value of this album were only historical... However, I believe that several bands influenced by this record are unfairly overlooked, and first among them are Lacuna Coil, who I think have nothing to do with Evanescence (there's a real virus band).

The only two things I disagree with: the voting and the fact that you say this is a rock album. It's true, it's not characterized by sounds similar to the first three albums, and there are some rather calm tracks, like Shine (beautiful), but that's not enough to say it's not metal. Let's say it's not entirely so. Redshift is fantastic.

I just ordered the original, for now I have it "illegally." At first, I didn't love it, but I started to appreciate it only after this review, which made me understand what was special about it.
