then there are others where he uses almost ONLY pentatonics (dragonfly, bad blood, i don't know, freedom isn't free, bedroom eyes, etc.....)

Of course! Jackline, if you listen to "Far Beyond the Sun" (a striking example!), it’s used there too... exactly in the solo right after the last keyboard solo and before the "central" one (let's put it that way!)! And I would like to emphasize how that piece in pentatonic is particularly moving...

Well, mixed, let's say it's been quite a while since I played with a band! Anyway, with one we did covers of Manowar and Iron Maiden, and with another primarily covers of Deep Purple... one of my obsessions has always been to play Rhapsody (given that I've always managed with the sweep technique), but, between keyboardists and drummers, it was always a mess... anyway, I like to play everything, even a simple C chord progression or any banal accompaniment... the important thing is to be able to "personalize it"! and to really "live" it! That’s the beauty of music (and of all art) in my opinion!

You can't fault me on the keyboardist! They are becoming increasingly egocentric (personal experience!) It's better not to give them too much rope :-)

Hi mista, I listened to the album! Considering that power isn't my genre, even though the album has quite a few references to epic, Rhapsody in particular, I found it quite enjoyable! There are a couple of great tracks ("Time of Glory" is a real metal anthem, I liked it a lot) and I found some musical solutions spot on (like certain parts in harmony with multiple guitars)! Steve Volta reminds me more of George Bellas in his work with Ring of Fire "The Oracle" than Turilli! Moreover, the instrumental track is very nice... then, what to say! The rhythm section is excellent... the singer is power-epic enough... one thing to highlight is that the CD is produced and played very rigorously, and, in a country where amateurism abounds (like: "I’m a genius" and then in reality, they’re nobody NB: and this unfortunately happens in all fields) it’s a great sign...

I didn't say that the Ibanez has an unmistakable sound; I said it has a "more personal" sound in the sense of "more unique," "more characteristic," "more typical"! Furthermore, the Ibanez has its own personality; no one doubts that, but it's much more, let's say, "nuanced." I would be much harsher with Ibanez guitars, but I would stray too much into personal opinion, so I won't add anything more.
