Michael Andrews Donnie Darko - Original Soundtrack & Score
Voto:
I believe it has become my absolute favorite film, even though it's incomprehensible, sick, misleading... in short, it's the closest thing to a delirium. It's disarming because in the midst of the delirium, there is often an underlying delicacy that is nothing short of embarrassing. The music is spot-on, and I won’t deny that some of it devastates my soul. Perhaps because it was the film of a truly special night for me, almost a year ago. Dream or reality?

It takes me back to distant shores... I was 15 and had a great desire to play the guitar. Among the very first songs I learned was actually Zombie.

The album is solid and begins to showcase Lukather's overwhelming talent, who sings in several tracks among other things. Seen live in Turin in 2003, and Steve is truly a master of the instrument.

I'll go against the tide, but I prefer music for the masses... anyway, it's a magnificent record.

Elisa Then Comes The Sun
Voto:
Alas, I bought it during a time of deep depression... I liked Rainbow... then I read the lyrics... I listened to it maybe once and sold it. What's the problem with Elisa? Elisa has a beautiful voice, and sometimes she has some nice ideas... but those lyrics like "the pen is on the table"... Have we ever wondered why she doesn't succeed in England? Among various reasons, I believe that plays a huge part, in addition to the artificial productions of rustic styles.
