I have to admit, this album was a disappointment even for me, who is a die-hard Prodigy fan. The previous Hell's Kitchen was something else.

baaaahhhhhhhh Frankie is great and there's no arguing about that. Ingenious idea of 7 nation army on fight da faida. It works live, OK. But this album is unlistenable. He wanted to mix his historic rhymes with more accessible beats but damn... when I think about Ice One's beats. This desire to commercialize (even pulling out old stuff like Der Kommissar) disgusts me. The result is nothing short of poor. The new beats don't bring the right freshness. I would have preferred a classic greatest hits. Also in memory of the good times!

The best track on the album is "le ragazze della notte"... very beautiful in both lyrics and music!
And then... it's very true!

Prodigy Music For The Jilted Generation
Voto:
aaaaaaaaaaah I knew it would end up this way.
I have things to do tomorrow, maybe I can stop by during lunch on Tuesday.
However, keep in mind that I paid 27 euros for it (25 + 2 euro service fee).
Therefore, I will need to invest that amount and you will need to refund me that sum.
If you give me the green light, I will buy it on Tuesday (if I can).
Daft Punk Homework

Dafunk back to the punk come on... dafunk back to the punk come on... dafunk back to the punk come on... A review was missing for this masterpiece, just a bit too long in certain tracks in my opinion. It's fine to experiment, but even if it goes on for a minute longer, that's okay too. My favorites remain Revolution 909 and Rollin' & Scratchin.
Prodigy Music For The Jilted Generation

Jilted is THE CD. No debate. It is and will always be my favorite album. I wanted to review it but I risked writing a poem, talking about the true meaning of the title (obviously political) and the struggles Liam faced at that time and performing. The "Narcotic Suite" is simply stunning, as is the rest of the album. When it came out (1994), it was ahead of its time, and still today I see people listening to it or asking for it in record stores. It's a real shame that here in Italy copies of Jilted were distributed only after Firestarter around '97. Back then, you had to request them as "IMPORT CD" from a record label that no one knew (XL RECORDINGS). In Rome, the old man at Ricordi told me, "The Prodigy don't exist." I still have nightmares! It comforted me to know I would soon be going to England :-)
Fat of the Land definitely does not hold up in comparison. Keith, the dancer who couldn't sing, even made a rock album (sad!). In fact, I bear the name of the other one, Leeroy Thornhill. The one who, after Fat, had no problem saying, "I'm leaving, good luck." A great man in every sense. Nice, humble, laid back... well, I met him after a DJ set when he had smoked and drunk, so he was probably too incapacitated to hurt anyone!
... Anyway, on December 19th, I'm seeing them in Rome (Palalottomatica, that is Palaeur). Zion, you'll be there, right? :-)

Show! A record like this must be listened to at least once!
