Prodigy The Fat Of The Land
Voto:
The Prodigy are and will always be my favorite band. FOTL is undoubtedly the least good album they've made. It's not because it was played on MTV and sold like crazy. It's simply because a dancer (Keith Flint) was allowed to sing. Bah!
Luckily in "Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned" he realized that Keith and Maxim (Leeroy did well to leave) are good for the live set and THAT'S IT. Anyway, great band, great album, but JILTED can't be beaten.

You know those objects that are no longer found around and that girlfriends insistently ask for when they come to your place? They say things like "it reminds me of you!" or "I'll give it back as soon as I can." Time goes by, and at a certain point, you ask that object back from your pretty lady, and she says, "oh no... that object is mine now. You gave it to me. Don’t you remember?" Then at a certain point, the story ends. If you're at all clever, you get something back a week before saying you absolutely need it, but this can only work with a tie or little else. Well, as far as I'm concerned, the single of Wonderwall is one of those objects. The funny thing is, she probably doesn't even use it anymore!

What a sadness. The review sucks and I refuse to listen to the album. I’ve listened to the previous ones and barely digested them. The desire to imitate the American model has reached absurd levels. I agree with what ZiOn wrote (removing the praise for all Neapolitan artists because I’ve never understood a single word). Instead of listening to Mondo Marcio, listen to the real niche Italian HipHop, not the HipHop that copies American styles with the same superficial themes and presents them in a gangsta way with an incomprehensible slang.

Damn, I have this album! I mean, my dad bought me a pirated cassette (do you remember when they sold cassettes on the street and not CDs??) and back then I really liked it. At that time, though, I was also quite clueless and didn’t have many points of comparison! Good review!

Lucio Dalla Henna

I don’t remember if I ever had the whole album in my hands, but the song Henna is beautiful, perhaps the best by Lucio Dalla. Liberi reminds me of the sad nights at the disco (they played the remixed version), and Merdman (really bad) reminds me of the jokes by Nunzio and Paolo from Magic TV (the Roman network that emerged at that time). What can I say... if it really was an album full of surprises, he chose the wrong singles to launch it. I don’t take away any points because Henna remains a masterpiece: “E invece tu, invece fumi, con grande tranquillità, così sta a me, a me che debbo parlare, fidarmi di te...”
