Oh, great! Sorry everyone... I have the TERRIBLE habit of not proofreading what I write.. However, I would like to clarify dear Primiballi.. I must say that you and I are half right. I certainly was careless, and in my writing trance, I stated that Genoa for us is a Ligurian portrait, which is in stark contrast to the title itself. On the other hand, the same Conte, in a program aired a few years ago on Radio2 (texts fully included in A.A.V.V. "Si sbagliava da professionisti," Einaudi, 2004), emphasized how with this song he aimed to capture the common aspects of the two populations, a bit like Piedmontese reflecting, obviously for some of their traits, on their Ligurian cousins. Conte uses these very words.. describing two populations that, in their wildness, in their silences, understood each other.. No presumption, eh.. it was just to dig deeper into the matter!

I wouldn't want certain songs to even be touched... enough with precious and evanescent projects...

Beautiful times of wide suggestions, gray drops falling from the ceilings... A thin and seductive review, just like the nature of the album.

Mariaelena has a personal style, that's for sure. From the first (her) review I read, Boys & Girls by Bryan Ferry, I found an empathetic and intense style of extraordinary impact. Of course, sometimes in the heat and passion, certain points or some spelling discrepancies may slip by... but it doesn’t seem necessary to highlight that with a poisoned tooth... a poison known as Envy..

Primiballi is one of the few that I still enjoy reading very much. Even before opening it, the beautiful line from Conti echoed in my mind, "Atahualpa I know only from the encyclopedia," but if "Fighting with a green milonga" somehow conveys the atmospheres evoked by this man, we are in luck... I'll start looking for it right away! Thank you for the tip.
