Madonna's group, their true masterpieces are Market Square and Joy Shapes. Milestones, truly: but they still have an exceptional discography of minor records, including this one.

Senmayan, I agree with everything except the opinion :-) No really, I can't understand how you can say it's anything but crap: it’s banal, predictable, all the same, obvious, commercial. It's practically hard rock destroyed and reduced to a simple little song. This is what the '80s brought: AOR and glam, practically a castration of hard rock; and this is because unfortunately times had changed, the police were cracking down on people under orders from the state and not everyone was free to smoke weed and write solos that rebelled against power (see MC5, even though they aren't exactly hard rock): thus hard rock was taken and mutilated, its revolutionary side halved if not worse. Caricatured in the stage presence and hairstyle, especially in the case of glam (Motley Crue, Cinderella, late Alice Cooper, Twisted Sister, etc.), and reduced to a "small accepted reactionary commercial revolution sanctioned by the state and society." Or at least that’s how I see it: the things that annoy me about AOR are the structure and melody of the songs, which are banal, although technically they may be competent. I mean, Deep Purple and Led Zeppelin were technically monsters, but they were also genius in songwriting, structure, and composition: the technical part was an enrichment to the song, not a pretext to create the song. The guitar solo and the melody were one. Look at Def Leppard, Bon Jovi, Michael Schenker Group, Skid Row. Read the lyrics of "18 and Life" by Skid Row: they act like bad reactionary rock revolutionaries, but the song with its stereotypical melody tells you the opposite. I've been coming across Asia for a while now, and there are already 3 reviews on Debaser: I believe they are mostly known for the band members and for being disappointing.

Just watch this movie and Hostel to understand what Americans are: superficial idiots obsessed with violence. And then they pretend that there's some meaning behind this crap...

Valerio Rivoli, I bet your fake is that dickhead sanjuro: the traits of idiocy are just that. Beautiful review, my compliments... I haven't seen the movie, but with your review, it's like I’ve seen it: and I relate to it quite a bit, indeed.

I almost forgot, even the cover makes a strong case for voting for a definite one...

Alice Cooper, Billy Idol, Yngwie Malmsteen: just these three incompetents and acoustic polluters, half glam, are enough for me to know what rating to give. And if they cover The Beatles, then I’m really sure about it…
