Hi Shine. In fact, I owe you an apology... when I gave that rating, I was quite angry for personal reasons and also quite tired and frustrated... So when I saw your review, I was already starting off angry and against you. However, I have to disagree with you on the little attention you gave to 2 of the three best tracks on the album, true masterpieces that I believe deserved more. Anyway, the reason behind your rating of the album might be that you haven't listened to it as much as I have. I still listen to it often today, and the more I do, the more I like it and discover other of the countless nuances that the porcupines wanted to give to this album. My rating would be 4 and a half; 3 plus 5 makes 8, divided by 2 makes 4... 4 plus 5 makes 9, divided by 2 makes 4 and a half. Have you listened to Deadwing?

Damn! I don't have this last one... But Cramella Smog, Samuele Bersani, and Giudizi Universali were really nice... Why isn't my mule working?! :(

The review is good, impossible to deny. But there are a series of factors that lower my rating:
1: This is perhaps my favorite album. It deserves 6 stars.
2: Porcupine Tree is my favorite band together with Dire Straits.
3: I also wrote a review on this album, but as you can see, you beat me to it :)
4: YOU CAN'T JUST GIVE A MEAGER 4 TO AN ALBUM THAT IS AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE OF MODERN MUSIC.
5: I'm not a blind and adoring fan; IN ABSENTIA I actually found it lesser and repetitive.
6: You can't casually and coldly dwell on TWO OF THE THREE MASTERPIECES OF THE ALBUM: "SHESMOVEDON" (breathtaking piece) and the beautiful and dreamy "HOW IS YOUR LIFE TODAY?"
7: Anyway, well done, for the rest you're informed... :)

Among my favorites. Immediately. The nonsense that Bugo says is so utterly ridiculous that it deserves an Oscar. But Pun, you know you’ve piqued my curiosity? Almost considering downloading the album...

Oh really? And what have Dream Theater invented? They have no originality, admit it, it’s pointless for you fans to cling to the argument of subjectivity...

It's not unconventional, Matt. They're the ones who are unoriginal and tend to be repetitive... I don't know, maybe power no but that driving rhythm reminds me of it...

something ORIGINAL not copied arbitrarily. The DTs offer a sort of mix between power and deep purple, but without conveying the emotion that bands like Deep Purple or Led Zeppelin can transmit... Repetitive, all albums sound the same and NEVER is there something of theirs that you hear and think "Ah... THESE ARE DEFINITELY THE DTs!", you just don’t recognize the style. Matt and also Tagliateste, if you want something ORIGINAL and progressive, download the album DEADWING by Porcupine Tree... Matt you still haven’t told me what you think: here, moreover, the difference with the Dream T is also that while the DTs are very melodic and easy listening... basically, the Porcupine are the exact opposite. However, no one can take away a good 3 from the DTs, just to be clear.
